AI-assisted design concept of the Private One local intelligence system in a modern home office

Coming to Kickstarter · Local AI for home and road

Private One

A private AI system that can talk with you, run your home, and keep working when the internet does not.

Ask questions, control compatible devices, review important camera activity, and run supported routines even when the internet drops. Voice, automation, and camera analysis stay on hardware in your home, RV, or camper.

Expected Kickstarter range$2,500–$3,500Final reward price will depend on configuration

Ask questions naturallyControl compatible devicesReview important camera activityAdd voice across rooms

One place to ask, automate, and understand

Say “lock up for the night.” Ask what moved outside. Check the RV tanks. Keep the response inside your own system.

Instead of juggling separate assistants, camera apps, and automation screens, Private One brings supported voice, home control, camera awareness, and personal routines into one local system.

What could Private One handle for you?

Start with the problem you want solved first.

Use voice on its own, connect compatible devices, add camera awareness, or extend the same assistant into more rooms without rebuilding your home around one company's app.

01

A private voice assistant

Ask questions and control supported routines without sending every spoken request to a required cloud assistant.

02

Whole-home automation

Say “good night” to adjust compatible lights, locks, climate, media, and sensors through one natural request.

03

Local camera awareness

Ask which compatible camera saw activity, review the relevant moment, and keep supported analysis in your space.

04

Voice in every room

Use optional Room Companions to speak from the kitchen, bedroom, workshop, or wherever you need coverage.

05

RV and off-grid living

Check compatible power, climate, tank, camera, and environmental sensors while supported voice and routines remain local.

06

Future private wellness

Bring selected wearable, activity, sleep, and cycle patterns together locally without creating another advertising profile.

The same assistant in every room

Talk from the kitchen, bedroom, workshop, or garage.

Optional Room Companions let you speak and hear responses away from the main Private One system. Add them only where you want voice coverage while the main system continues handling the intelligence.

  • Ask from the room you are in without finding your phone
  • Keep one shared household context across rooms
  • Add coverage without buying another main system

AI-assisted design concept of Private One operating locally inside a premium camper van

For RVs, campers, cabins, and second homes

Take your assistant beyond reliable Wi-Fi.

A weak connection should not take your supported voice controls and automations with it. Private One is designed to keep local routines available and let you choose when outside services connect.

Local voice and routines when connectivity drops Compatible energy, climate, tank, and environmental sensors Local awareness for compatible interior or exterior cameras

Works with your smart home

Keep the compatible devices you already trust.

Planned support includes Home Assistant and compatible Matter, Thread, and Zigbee devices. The final compatibility list will be available before you decide whether to back.

01

The main Private One system

Runs voice, supported automations, and configured camera analysis on hardware in your space.

02

Room Companions

Extend voice pickup and responses across floors, rooms, or compact mobile living spaces.

03

Compatible devices and cameras

Connect supported switches, sensors, locks, climate controls, media, cameras, and other devices through published integrations.

Your hardware, software, and data

No required AI subscription. No required cloud account for core local features.

You do not need to be a developer to use Private One. Its software core is planned as open source for people who want to inspect or extend it, while everyday controls remain available through a configured local interface.

  • Open-source software core planned for launch
  • Home Assistant and compatible device integrations
  • Local data export and backup controls
  • Online services only when you enable them

What to know before backing

What Private One is, and what it is not.

Supports up to four compatible cameras, depending on configuration

Planned configurations range from one or two compatible cameras to as many as four. Final stream support, analysis rates, and compatibility will be disclosed before launch.

It does not replace alarm monitoring or medical care

Camera awareness does not replace emergency monitoring. Future wellness and cycle features organize personal patterns; they do not diagnose conditions or provide medical care.

Daily local use can stay offline; setup and updates may not

Initial setup, updates, model downloads, remote access, and user-enabled web services may require a network. You decide which optional connections are allowed.

Future private health context

Bring selected wearable, sleep, activity, and cycle data into your own system.

Planned local integrations can help you review personal patterns and build useful routines without turning intimate data into an advertising profile. These features will not diagnose conditions or provide medical care.
